If at first you don't succeed, you aint Mr. T.

West 40 East 35.  West had Tim D, Rick the Pick, London Collin, Bannon the Banker, Kevin, Patrick M, Big Dan, Billy B & Tommy B. East had Big Jim, Sean P, Roger M, Gio, Tito, Tom C, Twinkle Toes & Howie. It was the day of the big play. NFL scouts should be down at Waters checking out the local talent.

These are the plays I can remember though I am sure there were many more: Tito pulled in two nice grabs on one drive - one a ricochet off of defenders the second for the TD, a jump ball pulled down between multiple defenders. Bannon grabbed a deflected pass off his back shoulder. Roger, Sean & Tom C all had nice long run-after-catch for TDs. Big Jim pulled a high ball down in traffic on a 4th and 20. Play of the day goes to... Billy B! With a long ball catch over the back shoulder, one handed, sun in the eyes, pants fallin down, nose runnin, shoes untied and Tricky D's dog chewing on his leg. Ok so only the first three things are true but it was still a really nice catch.

This week we celebrate Martin Luther King's legacy so I found this commercial to commemorate the occasion. I am not sure what makes me happier - living in such a harmonious, racially integrated society or, not living in High Point, North Carolina.

So here's a tangent. Watching this reminds me of rednecks, which reminds me that my kids have inexplicably started listening to redneck, I mean, country, uh, music. So I am listening to the lyrics from songs by Carrie Underpants. Heard of her? They're not all that stupid, right? I mean Johnny Cash is country and I like his lyrics. Anyway she is singing about keying somebody's truck in one song. Yea. That's pretty redneck. Then she sings about letting go of her steering wheel while driving and letting "Jesus take the wheel". Uh, so I know I am not the most religious person in the world, but, don't do that. That won't work. I hope I never meet that dumb B on the road.

Anyway. The UF did not make it out again. It seems he has contracted some sort of ailment and had to go to a store in Indiana to get some medicine. Hope he feels better.

Did you know when Mr. T received his star on Hollywood's Walk of Fame, he made his hand prints after the cement was dry? This week we play on 1/22 at 9 AM @ MARSHALL HIGH.
